Your helm seat takes more direct sun exposure than almost any other surface on your boat. When the vinyl starts cracking and the foam compresses, it affects comfort at the helm and the overall condition of the boat. Every reupholstery job includes foam replacement, not just a new cover over old foam.

We replace compressed or deteriorated foam with marine-grade foam of the right density for helm seat applications. New vinyl over old foam is not a proper repair.

UV-Resistant Thread

Marine upholstery uses UV-resistant thread and stitching techniques that hold up to the stress and sun exposure of regular time at the helm.

Marine Vinyl

We use vinyl selected for UV resistance and saltwater exposure. Residential vinyl fades and cracks within a season or two on a boat. Marine vinyl is specified differently and the difference is visible within a year.

We replace the foam and vinyl in our shop at 612 Third St using marine-grade materials and UV-resistant thread throughout.

Return

We return your helm seat finished and ready to reinstall on your boat.
