Custom Marine Canvas Built for Performance & Protection

Serving the Chesapeake Bay Region

Boat Canvas Services

From biminis and dodgers to full enclosures and custom covers, Salt & Sail Canvas fabricates marine canvas that's built to last on the Bay and beyond. Every project is measured, cut, and sewn in-house by experienced hands who take pride in the details. We know your boat is an investment worth protecting. Whether you're outfitting a new vessel or replacing worn canvas that's seen too many seasons, we'll walk you through the process honestly and deliver work you can count on.

Bimini Tops

A well-made bimini is one of the best investments you can make for life on the water. We fabricate custom biminis built to fit your specific boat and hardware, using marine-grade fabric that holds up to sun, salt, and season after season of use. Clean lines, solid construction, no shortcuts.

Dodgers

Your dodger takes more abuse than almost any other piece of canvas on your boat — wind, spray, UV, and constant handling. We build dodgers that are shaped to your cockpit, stitched for strength, and finished with the kind of attention to detail that keeps them looking good and performing well for years to come.

Full Enclosures

When you want to extend your sailing season or protect your cockpit from the elements, a full enclosure makes all the difference. We design and fabricate custom enclosures that fit your boat's specific geometry, using quality materials and precise patterning so that every panel, zipper, and seam work together the way they should.

Who We Are

We're not here to cut corners—we're here to build canvas that lasts. Salt & Sail was founded on nearly a decade of hands-on experience across the marine canvas industry. It was created to stand for what good craftsmanship looks like, where other shops fall short and what boat owners actually need. Every project we take on is measured, fabricated and finished in-house with the kind of care your boat deserves. We treat our clients like partners and our work like craft.

Our Simple 3-Step Process

On-Site Measure

Good canvas starts with an accurate pattern, and that means coming to your boat. We measure on-site, so every dimension is taken directly from your vessel. No guessing, no generic templates. It's the step that makes everything else right.

Fabrication

Once we have your measurements, we get to work. Every piece is cut and sewn in our shop using quality marine-grade materials built for sun, salt, and the long haul. We pay attention to the details that most people never notice, because those are exactly the details that matter.

Professional Installation

We come back to your boat to install the finished work ourselves. That means everything fits the way it's supposed to, hardware is set correctly, and you're not left figuring it out on your own. We don't consider a job done until it's done right.
